Acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai announced positive advancements during the ongoing Thai-Cambodian General Border Committee (GBC) meeting in Malaysia. These talks, which began on Monday, are reportedly making solid progress, with representatives from Malaysia, the US, and China observing.

Though specific details of the discussions remain under wraps, PM Phumtham indicated that more information would be shared following the defence ministers' meeting with both nations tomorrow. The Thai delegation has been briefed with strategies to steer tomorrow's critical negotiations.

Meanwhile, Acting Defence Minister Gen. Nattapon Nakpanich expressed optimism about the resolution of current issues, reported Thai Newsroom.

He stated that there is a 90 percent chance of a positive outcome, hinging on both the input from ongoing discussions and the actions to be taken following tomorrow's talks. If Cambodia persists in its cooperative approach, promising news could be imminent.

The meeting is a significant step towards easing tensions between Thailand and Cambodia, aiming for a peaceful resolution to their border issues. While the specifics are not yet disclosed, the anticipation around tomorrow’s announcements remains high.
