Unfortunately and sadly I had a bit of a argument with a Grab driver yesterday 

I ordered a Grab where I have a VIP membership monthly 

 

I had to order a SUV a big car to take my luggage to another Airbnb which was a few km away 

The cost was 166 baht for Grab plus 

 

The driver arrived a short angry looking pudgy , ( pudgy is a new word for me meaning chubby ?

short angry looking middle-aged Thai guy 

He stayed y in his car and automatically raised the back door and I put my luggage in.

..now I have no idea that the back door goes down by itself so I tried to.push it down to close it whilst he shouted from his driver's seat ,

 

The hotel security guard came to me and said it automatically closes ok I didn't know 

 

So i sat in the backseat and the Thai driver ignored my greeting ,he then looked on his computer and said ,"this is only a short way !!!

 

I said yes I'm sorry but I couldn't bring my luggage uphill, he then set off angry ,where he kept slamming his foot on the brake as he was driving.

And shaking his head ,I said to him 166 baht is not bad for 5 minutes work 

He said no good before I taxi (driver) I charge 300 baht ,no good ,Grab take all the money I only get 30 baht !!!

I sat in the back trying to console him

I'm sorry I really I said to him but he kept shaking his head and making that sounds tssk tssk 

Is that how I write those sounds?

 

But he still drove angry tailgating and then hitting the brakes in the car in fronts bumper 

 

When we got the Airbnb on top of the hill ,I again apologised using my hands in a Wai with both hands together!

He ignored me 

 

As I was getting out of the car ,this time he got out too .

I went to take my suitcase out 

I'm sorry I said again

He said "no tip? No tip??

 

Yes I said and when I went to open my wallet the 500 baht looks like a 100 b he puts his hand out for it but I give him the 100 baht 

Yes yes he said 

 

He is very dominant short  

Pudgy  guy with a moustache and tells me again the short  trip no good 

I immediately get down on my knees and Wai him again.

I look up at him

 

I thought he was going to open up his fly he stared at me and ignored me he got back in hiscarcdriving off looking at me in the mirror 

 

Later I saw he had added money  in the *other" section of the Grab receipt 

I feel very very bad about it and couldn't sleep last night 

Maybe he was angry at me ??

I thought about it later and my emotions had gone from feeling guilty to remorse to sympathize to anger to been angry at why he took the job 

I'm thinking later 166 baht plus the tip he gave to himself in the "other"added  extra wasn't too bad for 5 minutes work 

 

I'm going to ask them now when they arrive before I go is it ok that I'm going 5 minutes away with my luggage "are you ok with this " before I go 

I felt so sad about this all my emotions go from sadness to anger 

 

 

I dont believe a word of this. As I cant see you being able to one, download the Grab app. Two, use the grab app. "He knew your destination when he picked you up". Then we add in you are down on your knees to a taxi driver. Then again you could not sleep.  Please up your game if you are going to try to be more creative in your musings.
