VPN bans coming

Featured Replies

It won't be long before we need verified ID. Already do here for mobile account, but to log in and go anywhere on the Internets

I don't use VPN aside from Cloudflare on phone and proton free for financial

What's on the internet not worth my privacy. I'll just stick with email and RSS reader if that's possible

I wonder how many people using VPNs have checked what they think they are logging into?

Every once in a while a blind squirrel finds a nut.  Chomper is correct.  Secure VPN from 3PLA lol.

You can use Tor Browser, but it's SLOW ........

VPN bans coming

I was nearly panicking.

Luckily this wasn't about Thailand but in general.

I use VPN daily to use for my favorite p-rn sites.

You should try it in real-life instead. It´s quite good.

Even Putin hasn't been able to ban VPN's YET. But he has criminalized advertising them and imposed fines for using VPNs to access banned content and for searching for "extremist" materials online.

In other words, anything critical of the Putin regime, Russian military, etc.

As this is a forum for expats in Thailand I would suggest that people DO NOT subscribe to VPNs which are American owned/headquartered!

Especially if you're a U.S. citizen.

Personally, I use Surfshark which is a Netherlands company.I previously used Proton which is Swiss.

VPN for me is to watch streaming and tv while abroad, nothing else, and do not believe in safe and encrypted devices or software.

Same as bitcoin and dark rooms is somehow safe heaven for criminals and terrorists? Most likely designed to track illegal activity.

My Kaiser Permanente health care website requires a VPN, as well as my Experian account which protects my SSN. If they take that away, that would be a major nuisance.

I've used Surfshark as well for accessing certain US financial websites.

P.S.  Netherlands is part of the Nine Eyes.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Eyes#Nine_Eyes

But that's just an FYI, it's not that I think you are up to anything shady online.
