A magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck Davao Oriental, leading to a chemical spillage on the 6th floor of San Pedro College in Davao City, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported. The BFP's Special Rescue Force promptly responded to the incident, implementing containment and safety measures. In response to the earthquake, Davao City has suspended classes for the day.

 

The earthquake's epicenter was located 62 kilometers southeast of Manay town in Davao Oriental and occurred at 9:43 a.m. on Friday.
