November 20, 2025Nov 20 A practical way to stop my soon-to-be-installed transfer pump from cycling every time the house pump draws water is to install a two-level float switch system, so the transfer pump only activates when the working tank falls to roughly 50%. If anyone here is using a similar setup, I’d really appreciate your feedback - particularly regarding reliability, approximate cost, and recommended vendors.
November 20, 2025Nov 20 You only require 1 floating level switch arranged to turn on your pump at your low level and off at tank high level. Your local pump supplier should have these available.

However, if you read my original post carefully, I was specifically hoping to hear from people who are already using a similar setup, and could share their experience regarding reliability, approximate cost, and recommended vendors. Your suggestion is noted, but it doesn’t quite address what I was asking. Thanks again for taking the time to reply.

Have used on a house water system and have seen it hundreds of times on industrial systems and something that's used many thousands of times world wide, nothing new or difficult - your local pump supplier should be able to supply it and install it for you - simple straight forward job. Not sure what you mean by doesn't address what you asked, other than - this equipment is extremely reliable (purchase good quality switch), not sure of cost in Thailand, probably a couple of hundred Bht. usually available from your local pump supplier or major hardware outlet. You just need to specify the type of switch you need, activate on fall , deactivate on rise.
