November 25, 2025Nov 25 The last time I tried this was back in 2019. It didn't work then and a waste of time. With the recent changes I thought I would try a dummy run applying for a multi entry tourist visa. Registered with new email, got the confirmation email but I can't access the evisa web site. Just says timed out. Any ideas how I go about getting a visa?
November 25, 2025Nov 25 You have to persevere. There have been numerous reports of the site freezing but as it's the only way to get a visa it's just a case of not giving up! I just had a try and got this far.... could progress to the next page but didn't try to complete the entire thing.
November 25, 2025Nov 25 As upnotover pointed out you need to keep trying. Here is a thread with few comments might be useful when eventually the application is not freezing https://aseannow.com/topic/1372968-metv-confusion-at-london-embassy/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1319242-metv-current-requirements-london/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1330805-metv-2-inbound-and-outbound-tickets/
November 25, 2025Nov 25 Without diving into these other threads, is there a recommended browser? I believe Edge is a better product than its predecessor and is better than Chrome. Anyone hoping to succeed with Firefox these days and their endless security 'enhancements' should try something different.

I expect them all to work the same but they don't.

I recall the local immigration portals used to insist on IE which was rubbish and better results were obtained using Chrome. I suggest giving Chrome or Edge a bash.

I created account and using Firefox on cell. Stopped at field for UK phone #. Anyway there is a bad lag for some fields. 15 seconds as mentioned in posts above. No issue uploading pp photo etc. OP suggest you have some more tries and update. Read threads links posted above just in case some confusing fields. Edit: @Geoff914 I went back and continued application. I'm now up to address to stay in Thailand etc. Seems to be running smoothly. Uploaded the selfie photo. Surprised with the bio page of passport.. It just lifts out all the data not actually a photo. Stopped there but looking straight forward. Remember to save each time you exit. I'm using Firefox on Android cell.
