November 30, 2025Nov 30 After years of Windows 8 9 10 11 on my two PCs, I decided to give Linux Zorin a go. Downloaded and installed easily. Got some of my apps to work and liked some of the layouts. But I needed an alternative to Bluestacks in order to run my IPTV Android app, which I can on W11. ChatGPT suggested Waydroid which I got, but could not get it to work, Chat actually suggesting I give up the task after three hours and many screen shots, something to do with my graphics card. Also, opened one of my Excel sheets, which contain data links to upgrade for example exchange rates and ETF values etc. Cannot do in Calc. Would any other distro act differently, eg Mint, or is that it.

Quick search came up with this (amongst others) article which seems to give a few options - https://www.geeksforgeeks.org/techtips/how-to-run-android-apps-on-linux/
November 30, 2025Nov 30 Author Thanks, but I shall stick with trusty old W11. I know it steals data from me, but hey, I have nowt to hide. Ad Blocker seems to stop most ads on Brave. And I dont need to learn anything again. Cheers
