European Leaders Rally Behind Zelensky in London

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met European leaders in London in a show of unity as the Kremlin praised US President Trump's new security strategy. The discussions focused on securing Ukraine's borders and control of its eastern regions. This comes after Trump criticised Zelensky for not reviewing the US's latest peace proposal.

Zelensky emphasised the need for European and American unity against Russia's aggression. The talks advanced, culminating in the finalisation of peace proposals and the preparation for their submission to the US. The slimmed-down version of Trump's peace plan, initially unfavourable for Ukraine, was of particular importance.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer hosted the meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, reaffirming strong support for Ukraine. This came amid concerns over the US's interest following Trump's new "America First" policy. Trump Jr.'s comments hinted at possible withdrawal from Ukraine peace efforts, raising European fears.

Zelensky revealed that there is no agreement yet on the future of Donbas, and he seeks security guarantees from Western allies, notably the US. His readiness for a US meeting highlights the urgency of these discussions. The Kremlin praised Trump's new strategy, aligning somewhat with Russia's views, unsettling European leaders worried about its impact on negotiations.

Russia's recent attacks have left Ukrainian regions without power, with drone and missile strikes targeting infrastructure. While Ukraine retaliated by hitting a Russian oil refinery, investigations continue into mysterious drone activities in European airspaces. These developments bring home the importance of ongoing diplomatic efforts, reported CNN.

Key Takeaways:

  • Zelensky meets European leaders as Trump's new strategy raises concerns.
  • Progress in talks, with peace proposals sent to the US, but security questions remain.
  • Russia and Ukraine engage in retaliatory strikes, with ongoing drone investigations in Europe.

The European leaders have been fixing it for Trump since he come into office and took his position with Putin. It is the European leaders steadfastness in supporting Ukraine that cancelled off Trump's relentless pressure on UKraine to meet Putin's terms. European leaders are the real heros and Trump is the clown with his FIFA peace prize lol.

Western censorship kicked in as soon as this war started. I have not seen one news outlet  allow Putin to state his case so people can judge which side has merit. All we get is the same old stuff " innocent Ukrainians frolicking in the fields like unicorns and the wicked Russians coming over the hill guns blazing." I believe there is more to this issue and that western governments are keeping it away from the people.

I wonder if you'll still be saying that when the ground war starts and the nukes start flying?

Because that's where the Euro fidiots are taking it...  And I hope the USA stays out of it this time.

Hard to forget all the idiots calling for Tucker Carlson to be arrested, just because he interviewed Putin.

I may vehemently disagree with the guy, but it's always a good idea to understand what the other side is thinking.  Even if they're wrong in my eyes.

Capitulating to Trump's aka Putin's terms will only lead to further wars. Deterrent through united and showing strength will stop Russia aggression. Trump has already washed his hands over Ukraine and he has demonstrated on many occasions to be on Russia side.

Euro leaders posturing

And when they find nothing amiss, will you be among the first to ask them (whoever "they" are) to investigate Trump's finances?

Investigating Trump's finances seems to be a non-stop activity, but no harm in asking for more.

Some concerns have been erased as the US House mustered some courage for bipartisan support to pass Bill to help Ukraine.

US House passes bill to bolster Europe’s defence, in apparent rebuke to Trump’s foreign policy strategy

The US House has approved a sweeping defence bill that bolsters Europe’s security, in what appears to be sharp rebuke to Donald Trump’s mounting threats to downgrade Washington’s ties to traditional allies and Nato.

The bipartisan vote came just days after the publication of a White House national security strategy that said Europe faced “civilisational erasure” and made explicit Washington’s support for Europe’s nationalist far-right parties – rattling EU leaders and opening up a seismic shift in transatlantic relations.

By contrast, the House’s $900bn Pentagon is notable for its pro-Europe orientation and its clampdown on Trump’s authority to reduce troop numbers, move equipment or downgrade Nato-linked missions.

And how are Trump's tax forms coming along from his first period.

Still under investigation by the tax offices?

You do realise that he is the only president NOT to have published them.

My understanding is that there is no need to "investigate" Zelensky's finances.

NABU has known all along about his and his cronies' corruption.

NABU, the Ukrainian anti-corruption body, is controlled by the FBI (not the CIA!).

Permitted corruption is the way these people are manipulated.
When they defy their masters, the carpet is pulled from under them.
As has been done recently to many of Zelensky's inner circle.
