As far as I know, there ARE people who have had visas & other paperwork on the strength of their T&T certificates, therefore to that extent they are acceptable. Other than that, we're not going to debate TEFL agency marketing claims here- take it up with them or the MOE (if you get an official answer from the MOE please do let us know).
