December 15, 2025Dec 15 Atm 10 "Affidavit of family relation to a thai national". The first section my wife fill out ,correct? And then..According to mr/mrs/miss...she fills out,or i do?
December 15, 2025Dec 15 Your wife completes the whole form and signs. A witness signature is also required with a signed copy of their ID card.
December 15, 2025Dec 15 It's your wife's affadavit. You don't fill out anything. But she fills your details in section 1. and 2.

Your spouse completes all 4 sections of the form and signs as the Affiant. Any witness only signs as the 'witness' and supplies a signed copy of their ID card.
December 19, 2025Dec 19 Popular Post The witness may not be easy. Depends what your immigration want. Check with them. In Hua Hin, they required the witness to be present with us, and have their house book (Tabien Baan). Some people have posted that immigration allowed a witness from the people in immigration, but that does make any sense to me. In Hua hin they wanted to be sure that the witness knows your wife well, and for some time. They asked the witness how long they knew us, and they wanted to take a photo of the witness. We asked if the witness would be required every time and the answer suggested that if its the same then unlikely. But then i think it would have to be the same IO.
December 19, 2025Dec 19 Think requirement for a witness depends either on applicant or on the specific immigration office or both. A witness was not required when I renewed my Thai Wife extension in Samut Prakarn recently: we've been doing renewals at this office for +15 years.

I've read that at certain IO's an Immigration official has signed as the witness.

When I went on 9th Dec we were given a host of new forms to fill in at the desk, in total I had 5 and my wife had 3, only a couple last year. None of the forms required a witness. On the other hand for many years we have had to provide 2 witness IDs and Blue Book along with the extension application. The only constant is inconsistancy.
December 20, 2025Dec 20 Keeping a close eye on this. My annual marriage extension is at C/Wattana. Married for 25 years, I thought a Marriage cert and updated KR2 would be enough! The worst scenario when applying for a yearly extension, and refused, would be to call a friend to trek all the way out to CW to be a witness!

For many years we have had a home visit for every marriage extension. Following the trip to immigration last week the guy rung up on Saturday to say he would come 8am the following day. My wife said the witnesses wouldn't be available so he said ok, he would come at 4pm. They all go to the market Sunday morning. About 2pm he rung up and said he would be there in half an hour; good job both the witnesses live next door.
