During the year-end travel rush from December 26, 2025, to January 4, 2026, the Transport Company Ltd in Thailand facilitated the movement of 1,283,311 passengers on its BorKhorSor buses and those operated by concessionaires across 73,961 trips. Atthawit Rakjamroon, the company's president and managing director, highlighted this significant passenger volume over the 10-day period linked to the New Year holidays. The data marked 668,708 outbound passengers on 36,765 trips and 614,603 returning passengers on 37,196 trips.

The majority of these travelers were headed to the Northeast (Isan), followed by the North and South. December 30, 2025, saw the highest number of departures from Bangkok, totaling 141,630 passengers on 7,739 trips. The peak return day was January 4, 2026, when 142,339 passengers were transported back to Bangkok on 7,878 bus trips.

The company's safety record during this period was positive for its own fleet, as BorKhorSor buses reported no accidents. However, buses operated under joint services were involved in six accidents, causing 22 injuries but no fatalities. Authorities stressed the importance of ongoing safety measures to ensure passenger protection and efficient operations during holiday travel peaks.

Looking forward, ongoing vigilance in safety practices is expected to continue, ensuring smooth journeys for travelers. The Transport Company plans to maintain its readiness in handling high passenger volumes while keeping safety as a top priority in future travel periods, reported The Nation.
