ColPyat Posted August 20, 2007 Share Posted August 20, 2007 Sorry but most in the NE are very uneducated abot these things.In the wifes village they believe for example that Thaksin paid off the IMF debt from 1997 out of his own pocket, and a lot of other nonsense - I have no idea how this disinformation gets spread, but I bet it's not particularly hard to do in a region where most people can't read. It all balances itself out - people in Bangkok are very uneducated about other things.
