astral Posted August 2, 2004 Share Posted August 2, 2004 You were very lucky. 1. Always have a valid Thai or International licence. 2. Have valid insurance - preferably Full comprehensive - class 1. Then the insurace company will take over and manage the matter. Mind you, they still need watching. 3. Take photos at the scene and write up your own account of what happened as soon as possible afterwards. Can refresh you memory if requested to testify month/years later. 4. Would the lady at fault be required to pay? thanks nam ps I am getting a driver over there my damage is about 16000 baht and the lady's damage is about 30000 baht. i dont know what would happend in case if my girlfriend would have been driving,probably we would not be alife now Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If not have a chat with jack who's office is above Northern Thai real estate office on second Road by Marriott. he can sort you out a comprehensive policy on the spot, assuming of course you have a Thai driving licence.
