Another star, Danielle Brooks, admits she had an abortion because she wanted to finalize an acne treatment course. Danielle Brooks, became pregnant while on Accutane to treat acne she was experiencing during her time in The Color Purple on Broadway. “If you know anything about Accutane, when you’re on Accutane, you’re not supposed to get pregnant. It’s a requirement. You actually have to sign something saying that you will have an abortion if you get pregnant,” she said on an episode of the Pregnant Pause podcast. “I broke down because I realized I wanted to be a mom. And that an option was no longer on the table in this moment ... it was really hard, very, very difficult to actually have an abortion." So her acne treatment was more important than her baby. Sally Field admitted she had an abortion because of financial reasons: “I had no choices in my life, I didn’t have a lot of family support or finances. I graduated high school but no one ever said, ‘How about college?’ Nothing. I didn’t know what I was gonna be,” she continued. “And then I found out I was pregnant.” Fellow feminist Kelly Bishop admits she just an abortion for the simple fact that she didn't want to have children. "Bishop says she never planned to have children, so when she became pregnant in her 30s, she was grateful for the recent Roe v. Wade decision in 1973 that protected a right to privacy, including whether to continue a pregnancy. “The fact that [abortion] was available and legal, it was just a relief,” she said." Kerry Washington admits she just had an abortion because she became pregnant from a one-night stand, and had not planned a pregnancy. "The Scandal actress revealed she had a romantic encounter that resulted in an unplanned pregnancy, shortly after the success of Save the Last Dance in 2001. To protect her privacy, Washington gave doctors a fake name." Britney Spears claims she aborted Justin Timberlake's baby because he did not want to be a father. "In her memoir The Woman in Me, Britney Spears recalls becoming pregnant with Justin Timberlake’s baby — and though initially conflicted, making the decision with Timberlake to end the pregnancy. “Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young,” she writes in the book." Paris Hilton admitted she had an abortion because she was simply "not ready".
