Need to know about renewing my car and motorcycle license.

I have the 2 year temp license for tourist which will expire before the end of the year. I'm up there in age, so what can I expect. I stay in Thailand for 90 days then return back to the country I'm in. And then return maybe 4 months later.

What is the new process now?

You'll get another 2 year licence, usually they want you to renew once it expires, strange i know, two visits may be required depending where you are, same docs as usual

You have a Non-O visa then?

Biggest effort as usual is a proof of residence. Guess you need from immigration.

Which office? (DLT and immigration)

All the DLT offices has their own rules. You'd better go to your local office and ask which requirements they have.

Bangkok office.

Unless you have a one year visa or extension, you will be limited to 2 years validity on your renewal. 5 years with a long term visa, one year (DTV not included).

Visit your DLT office, they have a list of requirements. It may differ a little from office to office. COR needed.

Hi man - recently renewed myself.

You actually have a Year to renew, after expiration.

Register and follow instructions.

View back to back videos in Thai language, answer a couple of simple multiple choice questions at the end (in English - aimed at 5 Year olds), then screenshot or save your cert.

Go with this to dvlc, along with doctors cert, cert of residence (within last 30 days) and take the colour chart, accel / brake check / depth perception, and pose for photo. 2 Year licence issued (205 thb) unless your visa gives 5 (505 thb).

Make sure you have at least 15 days of current visa left to apply.

No appointment necessary, but go morning or after lunch to avoid waiting for a spot.

What is required for motorvehicle and motorcycle 5 year licenses to update when a new passport has been issued, changing the number on the actual license?

And will there a a charge to do so?

Is it necessary to update if both the old and new passports are carried together?
