I stopped buying Apple products when my Macbook air and Ipad both died after more than 7and 6 years of faithful service. I didn't like the direction Apple was going (most of it's products were $1000 or more). I have been using Samsung for the last few years(Laptop, Tablet and phone). No complaints about Samsung but have always liked Macs and Ipads. Heard that the new Macbook Neo was available starting March 11. The starting prices are $599 and $699. The Neo was exactly the laptop I have been waiting for. I really like laptops with small screens. The Neo has a 13 inch screen.

I have been to Studio 7 and Powerbuy, both do not know when or if the Neo will be availabe in the Land of Smiles.

Has anyone heard when or if the Macbook Neo will be available in LOS?

I ordered online around 10 days/2 weeks ago and it arrived yesterday.

So far so good and am impressed with the quality and price ( i bought the 512gb in Indigo).

By buying from the Thai Apple Store i saved quite a bit compared to the UK Apple Store, the same in the U.K. is £699 ( around $925 ) whereas here I paid £535 ( around $700 ).

Also bought a travel case from Lazada , the 12.5” fits perfectly whereas 13” is a bit sloppy.

Bought an iPad (11) from the Thai Apple Store recently and that came in 2 or 3 days.

No more trekking round the stores asking when the latest Apple stuff will arrive, did that with the iPhone 17 eventually buying at True with a 500 baht discount for being a customer.

Will never set foot in another Banana store !, they always try to force you to buy some accessories as well, I find their salespeople to be very rude.

Thanks for the update. Studio 7 is all over the place on Neo timelines. Did you get the English keyboard? I am going to BKK soon and I will probably step into the Apple Store at Central World and order it from them.

Yeah, you have a choice of 4 keyboards ( US English, Thai, Japanese and Chinese ), or at least i did online.

States 1 to 2 weeks delivery now, when I ordered March 19th they gave me a delivery date of March 27th to April 6th it arrived on the 6th.

Took 19 days from ordering to delivery DHL, came directly from China, hopefully it will be quicker for you now.

My iPad only took 2 days but was released last year so they had in stock, came directly from Central World Pathumwan.

Thanks for the info on your ordering experience. I just placed an online order with Apple for the silver 512GB Neo. Apple quotes a 2 week delivery time. This experience has been much better thatn with Studio 7.

I went in to look at the Neo in the Apple store in Central Pattaya out of curiosity last week. I didn't ask if there was a waiting time just wanted to see it in the flesh.

I'm a bit like you, used to use expensive 13" inch Apple MacBook Pro's, but after my last one failed went the route last year of the much cheaper outstanding value Mac Mini and haven't looked back. Probably don't have enough out of house use to justify the Neo even though it sounds from reviews that it could handle normal use photo editing, my main purpose.

Just got it today. Ordered it on apple.co.th. DHL delievered iit n 9 days from SW China. i got the 512GB version and I like it. Was an Apple guy in the past but switched to all Samsung (PC, Tablet and phone) for the past 5 years. Samsung Windows PC has been disappointing. Got back into Macbook when I saw the price of the Neo and features. I paid just over $700 converted from Baht. Hopefully the Neo will last at least 5 years.

Sounds like there will be a price increase for many Apple products ( blamed on memory shortage ), i think the Neo is going up $100 .

Just out of curiosity, if you bought the MacBook Neo in the US would you have to pay sales tax if bought online from the Apple Store ?? ( i know that sales tax differs by state with some states ( New Hampshire for example) have zero sales tax.

If that is the case then the Thai Apple price is a great deal, i too paid around $700 for mine.

Agreed on the increase and if I had bought the NEO back home (Los Angeles County) it would come to almost $800. Glad I got it now. No complaints, it performs better than my old MacBook Air and the battery life is great. I charge it every 3 days.

Went yesterday to the Apple Studio in Central, they only had Thai keyboards, I am an avid Apple fan, and was interested in a smaller MAC, I’ll check out the Thai Apple Store.
