Public forum.

I fully expect Trump to lose both the House and Senate, and with a Democrat majority, he'll be impeached.

Will Trump be impeached next year? Why?

What exactly are the Dems going to impeach Trump over?

I have said before, satisfying as it might be to see him expelled from office in disgrace, a better solution would be to see him linger on, actually the lamest of lame ducks, having lost control of Congress. If he is impeached, then you get Vance, and as the incumbent he will be better placed both for the Republican Party race for candidate, and for the actual General Election. How entertaining will it be to watch Trump and Vance flailing in lame duck irrelevance whilst Rubio, Cruise and heaven knows who else fight for the candidacy! Sure the US and the rest of the world will have to put up with his incoherent ramblings and brain farts for two more years, but he won't be able to achieve anything!

No. Because the Dems will get spanked in the midterms, but y'all can vent and screech till then

The House impeaches, but the Senate decides guilt, and conviction takes 67 votes.
That level of bipartisan support has never happened even for insurrection.
The bar is extremely high and would require an exceptionally egregious offence.
The Epstein Files Transparency Act passed the House and Senate by unanimous consent except for one vote, making it politically unstoppable despite Trump’s attempts to shift focus.

Will allegations in the Epstein files by a minor eventually become Trump’s impeachment Waterloo?

Thanks Tomaz - that says it all. Disgusting Trump and shame on his MAGA followers . . . . .

It’s nice that you can come here and express the obsession of your mental existence about a political figure. Meanwhile the far more enjoyable and interesting things in life are drifting by. Gotta wonder how many people died this past year wasting their last few years anguishing and obsessing about things they have no control over.

Deflection via ad hominem reveals a lack of substantive argument.
Political forums exist for political discourse.
If impeachment discussion troubles you, simply scroll past.
Labeling it 'obsession' only betrays the same fear of accountability as Dear Leader.

Oh sure... because if the entire world is helpless now, I’m absolutely confident they’ll suddenly discover courage, competence, and a functioning backbone by 2027. Must be scheduled right after their annual meeting on doing nothing.

Well the easiest and most obvious is The US Constitution explicitly prohibits the president receiving anything of value from a foreign government. That includes $400M planes and over $45,000 in unreported gifts from Saudi Arabia, including a Saudi dagger worth up to $24,000 and two sword sets. Also foreign governments, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Malaysia, and the Philippines, spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on hotel bookings and events at Trump International Hotel and other properties during his term, which critics label as a direct violation of the Constitution. And although not direct to Trump himself the United Arab Emirates (UAE)-controlled fund made a $2 billion investment into a Trump-linked crypto entity, raising concerns regarding foreign policy influence. You've also got the people who have bribed their way out of jail and of course a full investigation into who has been buying Trump/Melania coins could also reveal a treasure trove of back-hander deals.

Once a con-man, always a con-man.

One thing is for sure he is the right peachy color 🤔

Perhaps the House and Senate won't be so "bipartisan" after the 2026 midterms.

I've listened to an interview with US ambassador Chas Freemen today who made this comment about Trump and his supporters.

"People like Tucker Carlson, MTG, and Joe Kent are bailing out on Donald Trump. He's losing his base, and the part of his base that he's losing is the intellectually competent part of it. There are a lot of people in his base who are just ignorant...that's a great asset to Donald Trump: uneducated people support him. He said he likes 'uneducated people' for that reason. But the educated among his supporters are leaving him."

I agree with that 100%. You can see it here on this forum. The 'intellectually challenged' among his base are by far the most vocal on AseanNow. They also tend to be war-hawks as well.

Trump is going to single-handedly destroy the Republican Party and they will get creamed in the 2026 mid-terms.
