Europe Caves

Featured Replies

As I said before, Europe is like a kid that sullenly refuses to take the garbage out, whinges and mouths off, then after you tell him off he does it.

Trump is mean! Biggest evil ever! Crass! OK, please dont be mad at us, we will do it.

Ha

"On behalf of the American taxpayer, Trump takes it personally when they freeload off of us—while having the absolute chuztpah to simultaneously sneer at everything that makes us great.

Despite what you read in the media and on Twitter all day every day, the operation in Iran is going exceptionally well. Nice of our European allies to join us at the finish line—better late than never I guess!"

Thanks Europe for rescuing us LOL

And here I was expecting a speleology topic.

Do craters in airport runways count ?

Some Aussie substack is not a valid reference.

Here's the heart of his argument:

"Some have pointed out that the specific commitments here are vague and that’s true. But the point isn’t what they’re willing to send. It’s that they have been forced to acquiesce to Donald Trump’s demand that they stand with us, not against us, in this effort, after weeks of prevaricating."

So they'll be cheering from the sidelines? Remember when Trump punked out on Greenland after being offered the "framework of an agreement"? This is more of the same.

Not if you're on the outside looking in. Team IRAN vs Team USA/Israel.

With team USA/Israel gathering more support..

Really? No other country is offering to send material or men to the Strait of Hormuz. A bit of token defensive support, that's all folks.

Trump launched this war with zero consultation. At least Bush had the smarts to assemble the Coalition of the Willing, even if it was under false pretences.

Europe can hardly be blamed for telling Trump you crapped in your own nest, you fix it. He's doing his usual whining.

Australia is not sending any ships or men, only a Wedgetail surveillance aircraft. Even that gesture has drawn a lot of public criticism.

It was America's most trusted ally. What does that tell you?

Exceptionally well? Oil is above $100 a barrel. 20% of world oil supply is shut off indefinitely.

What the hell are you smoking?

Sure. Just like they kissed Trump's when they offered a framework of an agreement on Greenland. It's just pacifying a child with empty words. And also his supporters who celebrate trolling comments as significant victories.

You might also do well to contemplate the phrase "Put your money where your mouth is."

"we had to do the world's work"..? We? Really? You must be at least 100 years old. And I guess 20,000,000 or so soldiers and civilians of the USSr who died don't count?

Its not a victory until we are done supporting Europe.

Just like Venezuela, this is another case of crocodile tears. Which will evaporate upon cessation of hostilities.

The Other Global Crisis Stemming From the Strait of Hormuz’s Blockage

The war in Iran has already claimed many direct victims, from the more than 100 children killed in a U.S. strike on an Iranian elementary school, to the Iranians inhaling toxic substances released by Israeli strikes on oil facilities in and around Tehran, to those soldiers and civilians killed and wounded across the region by the conflict. And no matter how quickly the fighting ends—wars often resist one protagonist’s desire to end them—its indirect victims could include billions of people hoping for good harvests and affordable meals in the coming year.

Its a bitter pill for the international & domestic left to swallow, capitulating .

Iran's 47 year regime is on its last regime chess moves, its desperately maneuvering in its final stages before potential collapse.

In other words, you've got nothing.

The only reason to send a surveillance plane is to gather independent intelligence that will not get shared with Russia. Trump must be confused trying to placate two masters.

Such a long winded post to essentially just say Trump won again.
