Ukraine Is Suddenly on the Offensive, With Help From Elon Musk

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

When Elon Musk flipped the off switch on Russian forces’ Starlink internet connections in February, Ukraine’s military went on the offensive.

Russian commanders had lost access to live video of the battlefield and communications with troops. Ukrainian soldiers moved in on Russian positions with little threat from drones—normally an omnipresent danger.

Now, Ukrainian forces have notched their biggest domestic territorial gains in more than two years, dashing Russian President Vladimir Putin’s efforts to gain leverage in U.S.-mediated talks.

While I am personally delighted that Musk's action has helped Ukraine to turn the tables on Russia in this war, it's kind of alarming that a private party such as himself wields this kind of power.

He wielded it once before and cut off Ukraine.

Elon Musk’s SpaceX cut off Ukraine’s access to Starlink in September 2022, during a planned Ukrainian drone strike on Russian naval vessels in Crimea. Musk refused to extend coverage over Crimea, effectively disabling Ukrainian drones mid-operation. Since then, Starlink has remained active in Ukraine but under tighter U.S. Department of Defense oversight.

Russia should use its satelite killers.

Clear the sky from the pesky musk starlink satelites.

I thought Elon was the enemy

Yep, Russia has run out of North Korean washing machine to make their missiles from.
Russian conscripts are eating each other and fighting with shovels.

Zelinsky and his loyal troops will be at the gates of Moscow by the end of the year and the Russian Army will be running for the Urals.

Let's ask the Magic 8 Ball. Whaddaya say 8 Ball.

This is coming from a person who calls the Russian Ukraine war a "special military operation". Which is what Putin demands it be called upon penalty of imprisonment.

Fine, but can Musk or Ukraine, supply the world with the dead cheap russian oil, gas and other rare earth ?

Calling it a "war" is even more ridiculous. I would call it a pest control.

Literally Hitler if memory serves. The left are so fickle, or more likely no thought process involved, just parrotting their fake news stories of the day.

Why is the world spending trillions to fund such a corrupt regime as in Ukraine ? Ukraine that is naturally and culturally as corrupt as Russia, if not a bit more. Let them sort out their own mess and America should not enter a new Vietnam or Afghanisthan. All the US political failures be in in Afghanisthan and now in Hormuz should be enough really. Same for Europe who needs to step out of Ukraine.

So, are you claiming that the Musk didn't cut off the Russians? Or that he didn't allow the Russians to use Starlink in the first place? Or you just in typical Pavlovian mode where you mouth hostile generalities about those you disagree with?

So, are you claiming the left didn't throw the MOA hissy fits when Musk bought the leftist disinformation factory formerly known as Twitter and reinstored free speech to the world? Or you just in typical Pavlovian mode where you mouth hostile generalities about those you disagree with?

What has this got to do with the issue of musk revoking access to starlink? If you want to make generalized rants about people you disagree with politically, start a thread about it.
