Losing My Climate Change Religion

Featured Replies

I just posted the below as a new thread on the Green Forum > https://aseannow.com/topic/1390803-losing-my-climate-change-religion/

But it is worth to re-post it here, as the author - Margaret Anna Alice - describes her belief in the climate change religion as the 'last bastion' she had to overcome, even after having seen-through and dumped other scams like the Covid-vaccine con.

These two quotes of her are particularly tell-tale.

I started writing a book titled No Longer a Lefty that began:

I used to call myself a progressive because I was anti-authoritarian, anti-war, anti-corporation, countercultural, tolerant of diverse viewpoints, pro-truth, pro–freedom of speech, pro–freedom of choice, pro-justice, and pro-equality for all.

I stopped calling myself a progressive because I am anti-authoritarian, anti-war, anti-corporation, countercultural, tolerant of diverse viewpoints, pro-truth, pro–freedom of speech, pro–freedom of choice, pro-justice, and pro-equality for all.

My core values remained the same. I just figured out political parties and politicians were lying about representing them.

My One Inviolable Belief

There was one belief that remained untouchable, however: Climate change is an urgent, existential threat to all life on earth, and we must rapidly reduce our CO₂ emissions to save the planet.

To question this belief was to jeopardize all life. Only ignorant, dangerous, science-denying Deplorables would be stupid enough to do so.

In this well written article the author - Margaret Anna Alice - describes her uncomfortable journey from progressive green climate activist to gradually embracing the socially inconvenient reality that the climate 'religion' is a scam of enormous proportions in which trillions of dollars are wasted annually with no or negative public benefit.

She is of course not alone in realizing that we are being played, and the list of imminent scientists that are providing hard evidence that it is a con is now reaching a point that the gas-lighted public are slowly starting to doubt the pushed narrative.

The main part of the article consists of to-the-point quotes by scientists that know what they are talking about.

More than worthwhile to delve into, although it will be confrontational for those that have unthinkingly parroted the narrative of ' saving the planet' that they were fed for decades by powerful interests with an agenda of personal benefit.

Lots of well written beliefs to be found in the underbelly of the internet (substack, YouTube, X). She doesn't bother to say if she has any education or experience pertinent to the things she believes. I guess blind faith is sufficient for some folks.

So you didn't read the article she wrote in which she quotes dozens of imminent scientists that confirm in the strongest way and without the slightest doubt or reservation that the green Net-Zero policies are a scam.

To form an opinion based on the opinions of others while not having relevant experience or education.... sounds more like a rumor mill.

Woke waffle. So what new cause will she become passionate about next?

Can't people form a considered viewpoint without needing to belong to a cult?

Do we all have experience or education about Climate Change?

I think, not.

..... I certainly agree. That's why I don't write any articles about it.

I don't claim she doesn't have the right to write about. I merely suggest not giving her opinion much credence.

... but exactly what is your point?

You seem to think we all need experience to form an opinion. Most just follow like sheep?

Good thing you're not earning a living entertaining people as a mentalist. You failed at reading my mind.

I suggest that those with brains but not a relevant education or experience should realize they shouldn't be trying to persuade people about the topics where they're ill informed. That doesn't mean they don't have the right under the first amendment.
