ebay selling

Featured Replies

Is there anyone here who sells items internationally on ebay? I have had an ebay account for around 25 years and I used to buy and sell when I lived in the UK. I moved here 12 years ago and have used the account only to buy items. I am now ready to resume selling and there seem to have been many changes that I may not be able to overcome. Is there any alternative for me to sell individual (pre-owned) items on an international basis?

Facebook Marketplace and Instagram.

You think Facebook Marketplace is good for selling internationally?

Just giving you a couple of idea that others use. There is also Etsy. I'm not experienced in selling, only a buyer.

Depends entirely on what it is you are going to sell ? do you have the payment system sorted out for Thailand ? or are you using a foreign account ? so many questions, you need to provide more details for the better help with this.

I sold a used camera to a local place and almost certainly got ripped off.

I should have checked the market value. I'm sure I would have gotten a lot more on ebay.

So I haven't tried, but I think it's better than selling locally.

Shopee also has used items, so it may be possible to sell through that site but also haven't tried. Maybe Lazada too. Not sure.

And for cameras, there are specific sites dedicated to used cameras you can sell to internationally.

Etsy was the easiest, but they sit the sales from Thailand due too many issues. I imagine it will be a bit of a hassle on EBay. Just be prepared with all of the paperwork. Also you know stuff happens here in Thailand and they may want a work permit. I’m sure you could stay under the radar for awhile, but it only takes 1 person. Good luck.
