Sim Card Question?

Featured Replies

I want a Thai phone number that people can ring me on even when I'm in the UK.

I want to be able to leave a personal message EG "Hi This is Joe blogs sorry I cant take your call right now leave a message" sort of thing.

I have purchased a Thai SIM card off Ebay but cant leave or set up this personal message, seems I have to be in Thailand to record it in the first place.

Can anyone suggest a Thai SIM card I can purchase and set this up from the UK?...or could an English person help me out with setting it up in Thailand and sending me the SIM?....I would pay well for your trouble.

PM me.

Which company do you use?

AIS, ONE TWO CALL, DTACT OR TRUE?

Bought a card from 1-2-call but once you are in the UK I dont think you can change the voice message settings, the only way a personal setting/message can be left is if your in Thailand at the time...I think buy the time the card is in the UK the air band carrier has changed to say Orange and your restricted as to what you can do.

Thus if someone could record the message while in Thailand then send me the card, it would work.

Unless anyone knows different.

Hope this might help :-

1. Set air band carrier as Vodafone, charge 48 B/min

2. Dial *131**99# , the system will tell you what to do..

Choke dee kha :o

That might help, but otherwise, you should get one of those special SIM cards that's set up to be used as a Thailand number but you can take your phone with you anywhere in the world and have it work with that number and SIM. I, however, forget what one of those is called. Buying just a normal SIM and expecting it to work in the UK seems a bit of a stretch. Do your research, or try the previous poster's suggestion.

It works, just means you are roaming. Dare say the cost would be prohibitive.
