Trump: "2-3 Weeks" What Does that Mean?

Featured Replies

Trump says the war will be over in his usual 2-3 weeks. What does that even mean, other than the tumbling stock market scared him and he had to say something?

Is he trying to play Nostradamus?

Has Iran agreed to turn over its MEU in 2-3 weeks, kind of like Trump's tax returns?

Iran will close its Strait of Hormuz trick or treating in 2-3 weeks?

Does it mean the US runs out of weapons in that time, so has no choice but to stop?

Is it even a "concept of a plan"?

It's simply empty words.

I would guess Trump pulled that time frame out of his Depends. It's unlikely Iran is on board, as they keep firing missiles at Kuwait, Saudi, the UAE and Israel. It's even less likely Israel is on board, as they seem to have clearer objectives, such as turning Iran into a Stone Age nation.

It remains unclear, probably even to Trump himself, what his goals were starting the war. Clearly neither he nor his Carnival People Administration considered Iran could block the Strait, or that it might strike against nations housing US Military facilities being used to attack it, or that some of Iran's targets would be energy production facilities. It does seem Trump thought all he had to do was rattle his saber (from a distance of course, as Trump would never willingly go into harms' way; that's for "suckers and losers") and Iran would fall to its knees and beg for mercy. 72 virgins per martyr says that wasn't going to happen.

Trump spent a lot of money, used up a lot of the US' weapon's arsenal, killed a lot of innocent people, is responsible for the deaths of 13 Americans and hundreds injured, alienated most all of the US' remaining allies, caused the price of oil to jump 60% in a month, and what does he have to show for it?

Not too much.

At the moment, Iran still controls the Strait. Iran still has all the MEU it had on 27 February. Iran is still a theocracy run by a mullah named Ayatollah Khamenei..

Even if all of Iran's missiles are destroyed (unlikely, as some estimates say maybe a third has been destroyed), the country can rebuild. They know how to build. They can even speed up the rearmament by buying "off the shelf" from Pakistan or Russia or China or North Korea. They have the money, as Trump has allowed them to continue to sell oil.

Trump is going to address the nation tonight with "an important update". I am sure he will claim "the war is going far better than anyone could have imagined", which is, of course, a lie. If it was all so great, it would have ended already, as it already exceeded Trump's original time frame. Also, Hegseth wouldn't come begging for an additional $200 billion for the already $1,000,000,000,000 Defense Dept budget. Maybe Hegseth is going to renovate his makeup room?

So let's see where things stand after the 15th or 22nd of April. If it's anything like Trump's healthcare plan, also once said to be coming in two weeks, we might still be where we are today, albeit with higher prices for everything anybody buys.

This is Donald J. Trump. As he lies for a living, his words mean nothing.

he's going to say/claim that he won and that he obliterated Iran and now is for somebody else to clean the mess he made, that's the topic of his speech TACO way

Darn ya beat me 2 it lol he makes noise to entertain the rubes they love it.to lucid folks it’s a destructive disaster it’s another reason no one wants to back him up in his war.

the dead line has been/will be extended as TACO never follows on his flip flops, the newest dead line is "Soon" he does keep repeating the same lies over and over that Iran's army, navy, missiles have been obliterated, if that's the case why did he had to say another lie or can something or somebody be obliterated twice

“We are going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks,” Trump said. “We’re going to bring them back to the Stone Ages, where they belong.”

But Trump also spent much of an address that lasted just under 20 minutes repeating many things he had already said in recent weeks and providing few new details.

He said U.S. military action had been “so powerful, so brilliant” that “one of the most powerful countries” is “really no longer a threat” — even as Iran kept up its attacks on Israel and Persian Gulf neighbors early Thursday.

Trump says US forces will 'finish the job' soon in first prime-time speech since starting Iran war
