How far will this lunatic go?

Featured Replies

How religious is Trump, really? What we are witnessing in the White House is bizarre, and there is likely more to come. You have to see it to understand how far this has gone: extremists praying over Trump in the Oval Office while religion is turned into political theater and power worship.

And while the pope may not literally excommunicate him, the moral indictment is already taking shape.

I never thought in my life I would see this coming.

A few shorter versions for those who do not have patience to look through all of it.

Evangelical leaders held a prayer gathering in the Oval Office on

March 5, 2026, where they laid hands on President Donald Trump, praying for guidance, protection, and success amid the escalating U.S. conflict with Iran. Organized by Paula White-Cain, this event, a frequent occurrence for the administration, focused on supporting the president and troops during the military operations

Much of the voter base is religious.

Most likely it's just a show for them.

I notice some of the MAGA people are saying that somehow Trump has become under the control of evil forces and they need to pray for him - guess it's a way that if he subsequently does what they like they won't blame him for the past bad stuff but say it's the evil forces . All shall be forgiven in the future times.

That is, to put it mildly, a gross oversimplification, especially in a country that is supposed to keep religion separate from the state. The United States was built on many different beliefs, cultures, and traditions, not on one sectarian vision imposed through politics. What we are seeing now is religion being turned into political theater, used to bless power, justify authority, and make state actions look morally untouchable.

And then there is Trump being symbolically aligned with Jesus, while joking about being a king. Even if it is framed as humor, the pattern is not harmless. It turns politics into spectacle, power into something quasi-sacred, and leadership into a cult of personality.

Every sane soul on this planet sees what is happening and has warned about it, yet here we are with people still defending him and his staff. It makes you wonder what it will take for some of them to finally open their eyes, admit this is not what they voted for, and say so openly. People become sitting ducks, close their eyes, and before long nobody dares speak at all because there are consequences.

And lately, Vance, who Trump has explicitly put him in charge of a so-called ‘war on fraud,’ where Trump claimed, without evidence, that fraud is more prevalent in Democratic-led states.

Maybe voters who think like you are exactly the problem.

I just started a thread explaining why NATO was a shady organization and Trump pulling out is a good thing.

You don't have to agree with me

But neither do I agree that Trump "needs to be stopped before he goes too far". Some things he is doing actually seem positive to me.

And because he is on good terms with Putin, there are actually many benefits to this.

What last post?

Based on the interview I watched with Victor Orban, the Ukraine fiasco should have been averted.

He said Putin threatened to invade Ukraine if they didn't make concessions and the EU thought he was bluffing. But no one on here will ever blame EU for that since Putin is a convenient person to hate.

So people are constantly passing judgement but we don't know everything going on behind the scenes.

So that makes the invasion of Ukraine OK, does it?

I don't know what Putin was demanding.

Maybe the EU leaders were being unreasonable.

A President's job is to look after his own people first.

They are all mobsters deep down.

That's why The Godfather says "Best of luck with your own interests, as long as they don't conflict with mine" and "don't allow people to disrespect you".

And whatever you do, don't let yourself go like Marlon Brando.

Religion... the #1 reason that makes people blind and foolish.

This appears to be off topic because it's about Germany, right?

But the thing is, why are they making this law?

What are they afraid of that they need to prepare for an emergency war?

Agreed. It really is sickening.

Disgusting.

Where is the largest Jewish community in the Middle East outside of Israel? Iran. It was ten times larger before the revolution. But they are still there. How come? The lies are sickening.

These videos remind me of the naivety of Americans and why religion is big business in the US

The only god the grifter knows is money. Hopefully one day he will lose the lot then see how brave the con man is.

Marco Rubio is one of the clearest examples of how power corrupts. In 2016, he warned that Trump was a con artist. Now he defends him from the inside.

How can MAGA still defend Trump and his government for things they would have condemned instantly if Biden had done them? Not to mention if Kamala ,,,,,

Is it because the outrage was never about standards at all, but about tribe, identity, and who gets to break the rules without losing support?

You forgot VP Vance?

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/jd-vance-once-compared-trump-hitler-now-they-are-running-mates-2024-07-15/

Nov 6 (Reuters) - Eight years ago, in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election, JD Vance was a bitter critic of Donald Trump.

Publicly, he called the Republican businessman an "idiot" and said he was "reprehensible." Privately, he compared him to Adolf Hitler.

Not forgotten, we have to build a story here, and thanks for helping me ;-)

Appreciate it

Oh the irony

How far will this lunatic go?

Oooh yes, that legendary sniper shot that heroically brushed past the earlobe—truly a cinematic masterpiece, narrowly sparing us from a life-altering haircut.

How far would the lunatic go? He just threatened that the whole civilization will die tonight, and never return.

Unsure if above means genocide on Iranian people or a nuclear war wiping out entire civilization?

Trump and Hegseth have a problem. It lies in whether they can find a senior military figure to co-operate in the commissioning of a war crime.

That's why Hegseth is firing senior officials, hoping to find someone pliable.

He may not have much luck, everyone in the services knows what happens to soldiers that cross the line, after William Calley.
