Second hand electric cars

Featured Replies

Looking for a second hand EV SEDAN, not SUV. Price range 500,000 to 700,000 baht. Have ORA Grand Cat in mind.

Any advice from you car experts here?

Go new as your budget allows it.

If can comfortably slide into, I'd go with the MG4 w/lifetime warranty on battery, controller & motor (s). More than a few BYDs to pick from.

My back doesn't do sedans, so we have the MG ZS EV (2022) and very happy with it.

I just sold my BYD Seal AWD - there was a lot of interest, but almost all potential buyers needed financing, so if you have cash in hand, it will be a big plus.

And get yourself one of these - cheap insurance to check for potential body repairs.

Lifetime EV warranties is something new and needed.

Like MG models MG4, Maxus 7, Maxus 9, and Cyberster.Other brands such as GAC Aion (Y Plus), Deepal (S05, S07, Lo7) and Omoda (C5 EV).

Other brands offering similar incentives include GAC Aion (Y Plus), Deepal (S05, S07, L07), and Omoda (C5 EV).

How many warranties are transferrable? Do they not apply only to the initial purchasor?

Most of them are, but free maintenance services are not. They expire with the original owner.

MG's go with the car, no matter who owns.

Are you really planning on keeping a car for more than 8 years?

Lifetime warranties are a marketing ploy - read the fine print and you will find very little is actually covered by said warranty. To wit - do you know that the infotainment screen has a 2 year warranty only?

You should probably post what you actually know as fact, and don't generalize about warranty limitations that don't apply to all makes & models. Also location dependent.

@Vlada Floric You want accurate info about MGs, ask a MG owner or at the MG dealership.

Bought a 2yo Neta V with 24k on the clock, 219kbht.

Now done 30k and nearly 3yo.

Great car, faultless driving, no warranty it's second hand.

Prefer sedan with a sports look. That's why Ora Grand Cat or BYD Seal. Brand New ones are out of budget range

Smartest guy on this thread by a mile. Buy used, even if you have the money for new.

New Netas 500,000 Bhat.

I would recommend BYD ATTO3. Good range around 350-400 km (real range) well equipped and a ok price. Just below thb. 700.000 I just bought the BYD Sealion 6 (Hybrid) after many months forth and back and many tests. I ended up with the Hybrid instead of 100% battery! (Note: All prices at BYD will increase from may 1st.)
