Buriram, Sisaket Border areas - Free to Roam?

Featured Replies

Hello, in southermost Buriram province (like Ban Khruat, Lahan Sai) and in southernmost Sisaket province (south of Kantharalak) - as of now, could i bicycle anywhere just as before the border conflict? Or are restrictions and road blocks in place? Is there a certain radius?

Notes:

  • I do NOT want to cross the border into Cambodia. I just like the countryside there.

  • I only want to bicycle next November 2026, not now. But i do some planning right now. Of course it's impossible to forecast the situation for next November - but if you have any useful prediction (i.e. like, "police said the border area will be closed for another year"), it might be interesting.

Thanks!
