Not that sane and rational people needed any more data points, but Trump's recent Truth Social post is indicative of a guy who is absolutely batsh!t crazy.

Look at this fake image. Now think the guy who posted that has the nuclear codes. Let that sink in. The guy who portrays himself as a messiah* is also the guy who can send any or all of the United States' bazillion megatons of nukes anywhere he wants anytime he wants. He merely has to open the nuclear football, select a strike profile, send the launch code via the commo device that is contained in the nuclear football, and a minute later Armageddon begins.

Now after criticism from decent people, Trump did remove his post, but the evidence of insanity is undeniable, save for by the most captured members of the cult. This is the guy who spoke of "Two Corinthians" and then put his name on a Bible he sells, though clearly has never read. THink back to his first campaign, when he was asked if he ever asked his deity for forgiveness. "Why do I have to repent or ask for forgiveness if I am not making mistakes", says the guy who has broken at least 9 of 10 Commandments and all Seven Deadlies.

*While everyone who viewed the image thinks it's Trump representing himself as a Jesus figure, Trump did his usual idiot spin and blamed "fake news" for "misinterpreting" it. Trump claimed he wasn't suggesting he was a Jesus figure, but rather he sees himself as a doctor, healing people. Now I don't know about everyone else, but when I go for a checkup, none of the doctors I see are wearing clothes that suggest Biblical times, nor do they merely place hands on any patient and emit some special light from their palm to affect healing. Medicine has grown slightly more sophisticated and technological in the last 2000 years.

Trump subsequently claimed---when lying about it was intended to show him as a doctor healing the sick---“It’s supposed to be me as a doctor, making people better. And I do make people better. Make people a lot better,”

Oh, THAT should make everyone worry less that Trump still has a slight connection to reality.

Despite being as full of sin and out of shape as anyone, Trump has portrayed himself as everything from a healer "by placing hands" to an astronaut to a fighter pilot (with bone spurs) to "Your favorite President".

From his messianic post to his f-bombs on Easter to his threat of genocide, Trump leaves no doubt he is absolutely insane. One need not get a degree in psychiatry and sit with the patient for hours of sessions to see the reality staring everyone in the face: Trump is insane.

25th Amendment time. Put Trump in a padded cell, and absolutely get him far away from the nuclear football.

Since there are some MAGAs in the membership, perhaps one can try to explain why Trump is not insane, and that his messianic post is not weird and is perfectly normal for the sitting President of the United States.

Such an explanation would be very entertaining.

The Jesus / doctor thing is a great example.

The doctor thing is even "funnier" considering he has trashed health care coverage for many millions of Americans and his gutting of USAID is responsible for many millions of deaths internationally.

He knows that he's lying.

He knows that you know that he's lying.

He knows that you know that he knows he's lying.

He knows that his cult followers will just go along.

That's a test of loyalty.

Those who openly make a thing about his lying are enemies of the people.

It's no wonder that Trump and the maga fascists love Putin more than traditional allied leaders of western democracies.

The USA under Trump has been Putin-ized.

It was still possible to overthrow by elections such a regime in Hungary. Just barely. It was close to a miracle as to effectively do that the structure was set up to need a MASSIVE LANDSLIDE.

It is not possible to do that in Russia.

It's an open question whether it's too late for the USA. (He won't be Article 25ed as he's made that impossible with his cabinet picks.)

I think this is consistent with trollin' Trump trying to be entertaining and controversial and at the same time portray himself as king of kings. Nothing new - moments like this can make him the focus but if you ever see him actually talking for more than a few minutes - especially at rallies - it is the same type of thing and you see he is incredibly boring.

Many knew he was a tool in 2016 - some did and still voted for him. The only thing new with this is it showed some maga actually do believe in the sanctity of Jesus and made him pull his stupid head in at least on this occasion.

Trump has expended a very significant proportion of the US inventory of air delivered munitions and sea launched missiles, with, as so often, questionable effect. The military-industrial complex will have full order books to restock that inventory for quite some time to come!
