Anyone done this? My account was opened in the UK using my old address there. I have a UK sort code and account number. I'm planning to switch my Wise account to Thailand. I read that I will still be able to receive GBP into a UK account but will it remain the same as I currently have or will I get new account details for GBP deposits?

What are the advantages of doing that?

I have a UK Wise account and hold GBP and Baht.....I just chop and change as I need either currency.

(why not keep both accounts?)

I also hold GBP and THB at the moment. But I don't have a valid UK address. If I ever need to verify my UK address I can't. And I want an account into which I can receive 3rd party GBP deposits

Got it.

I just use a relative's address.......no utility bills though.....so can't recall if I verified it or if I did, how i did it......maybe UK bank account statements, driving licence, HMRC documents???

Yes, would be easy but I don't have any viable options for a fake address. HMRC already has me Thai resident.
