Appears Starmers lied to Parliment and the general public about Mandleson. Tonight its being reported that Mandleson failed the security checks on his application for his role of For the Ambassador's job to the US. Starmers immediate response was I didn't know lol. all the top politicians have now called for his resignation. It came out on Tuesday, on Wedneday he stood up at PMQs in the Commons and kept it silent. He Misled Parliment and now has to face the reality of being asked to leave.

Not so fast:

““The security vetting process for Peter Mandelson was sponsored by the FCDO. The decision to grant Developed Vetting to Peter Mandelson against the recommendation of UK Security Vetting was taken by officials in the FCDO,” a spokesperson said.

The Guardian understands that Starmer – who insiders said was furious – first learned that Mandelson had failed security vetting on Tuesday this week, while Lammy learned about it when the Guardian broke the story two days later.”

I don't believe Starmer was in the Dark regarding security of his staff he must have known. His Foreign Ministers didn't inform him regarding vetting policy. His top official has already gone before he was sacked.

Asserting what Starmer must have known on the basis of no information to support your assertion.

We don't know if he knew and we will never know but Starmer is Head and is quick to to sack people who make mistakes. GMTV has just reported Starmer thought he was cleared, if so he should have checked before the final decistion to to allow Mandleson to take up his post. The senior Foreign ministers knew but failed to inform Starmer.

Hang on in there Keir. At present there is no one of equal stature to replace you in the Labour party.

These are turbulent times and we need a steady hand on the tiller.

The most important UK Ambassadorial position and he does not ask the most basic question of "is this man cleared for the job"?

If he did NOT ask then he should NOT be the PM!

The snivelling jackal will not survive Sir cluster is on his way out🤔

There is no one to replace him at the moment.

He will remain.

Whats he done first thing this morning ?? dissapears again across the Channel for a supposed European summit via video conferencing which he could have done from Downing Street. He has sacked everyone around him concerning Mandleson. Never here keir again dodging awkward questions and leaving it up to his lackeys to face the interviews on most TV Morning news channels.

Starmer is the greatest PM GB has had in at least 50 years, perhaps of all time.

Not sure I agree with that, but he needs to stay on for a while, at least until a suitable replacement can be found.

Slippery Starmer is blaming everyone and singing like a Canary. Also his second in Command Lammy is also in deep trouble as he is the Justice secretary and was also backing Starmer to allow Mandleson's Post. Doubt he will survive the week and in two week's when the UK go to vote in local elections Labour will be hammered by Reform.
