Agent only to facilitate the extension process at Chaeng Watthana?

Featured Replies

For years I have always done all the paperwork and preparation for my annual extension of permission to stay (based on original Non-imm OA visa using the 66K baht monthly transfer method).

Unfortunately this year when the time comes, I will have limited mobility (either in wheelchair or on crutches). I can do all the paperwork as usual, including what's needed from the bank and insurance company), but I wonder if it is worth paying an agent only for the one day at Chaeng Watthana to "grease the wheels" to move more easily through the system. Is it worth it, and if so, any recommendations of reputable agents in BKK? Thanks.

Seems that you will be attending CW office on day of application.

There are agents that could assist.

@ThaiVisaCentre is one located in Bangkok.

Assume you are aware that appointments are available at CW which greatly improves process time however in recent times very few slots (if any) are available.

Appointments can be made up to 30 days in advance.

I feel for your situation as immigration in the main offers no alternative for no mobility etc.

Personally I will be moving to an agent at some point. It's inevitable for some

Edit: I just tried for appointment. Nothing available

The extension deadline isn't until June. I know how to make an appointment and will do that. I was just wondering if an agent would be useful to grease things for someone with limited mobility. Thanks for the reply.

If you are covering the financials yourself then the only thing an agent could do to "grease the wheels" Would be equivalent to having an appointment..

CW does have wheelchair access.

I can help you with my agent she is really good
