Nationwide Bs

Featured Replies

Last year when we went to Samui I used my Barclays visa electron (accepted pretty much nowhere :o ) and when I got home and read my statements I got after all their rip of charges about 65 bahts to the £. So for our next trip I have opened a Nationwide Flex account and they say they don't charge any fee, but does anyone know if they give you the proper rate as say quoted here http://www.xe.com/ucc/

IE about 75BT to the £ or do they give you the crappy uk tourist rate as quoted for example in The Sun.

i checked my ATM slips and it looks like you get early 70s and no charges , travellers checks prolly pay a few more but you have the commision charges .

Nationwide card must be the best there is IMO....

K.wifes nieces have been withdrawing Bt.in Samut Prat for the last 2 weeks or so using Nationwide BS flex A/C card have have been getting give or take a satang or 2 @75-76 Bt for a £1.(total approx Bt 500,000)

You can withdraw Bt 30,000 a day but can make arrangements before hand to increase exch. amounts with the BS (its not a Bank) :D

As said before interbank rates with no charges......not like all the other RIP Off merchants and I have tried all....Barcs/RBS/BoS/HSBC/Hal/Smile etc. :o
