They always state up to two weeks.

Previously they posted out the COR.

And in the main within 5 days.

Now you have to make two trips to CW.

One to apply and one to pick up.

Damn ridiculous.

Edit: added comment. You could easily think immigration Hate Farang

For 500 baht (cash no receipt) it takes 20 minutes to get one in Phuket, well worth it rather than mess about for two weeks, one trip to immigration rather than two.

Valid 30 days, I needed one to get my five year driving licence a couple of days ago.

Move to Phuket, they are a lot more flexible here for a couple of quid.

Somewhat irrelevant as the OP lives in Bangkok and will need to attend CW twice for the COR.

It is very relevant to pass onto the people who live in Phuket as this blog is not only for people living outside of Phuket, I was merely passing on local information which may be of use to the residents here.

Great so only need to post COR requirements for the other ~75 immigration offices

On the topic of obtaining a COR, in the case of Phuket, the latest Phuket News, an article states Phuket immigration has increased the cost of a residency certificate (I assume the article means a Certificate of Residence) to 1,000 THB.

https://www.thephuketnews.com/phuket-immigration-silent-on-fee-increase-99941.php

So if one were needing to get multiple COR in Phuket, it has become a bit more expensive.

I don't know if other offices in other provinces have also increased the price.

Thanks for link. I had to copy/paste to read it.

Fact is previously I believe Max charge for COR I have read was 800b.

1000b is ridiculous.

Especially given that it's meant to be free..

Previously transport offices would accept one original COR + photocopy if obtaining/renewing both car and bike licence.

Suspect that's still the case..

No faith in immigration Thailand
