Non O visa retirement

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I'd like to ask u how long It takes in Pattaya to get the stamp once u apply for non O visa retirement and after 2 months when u apply for 1 year extension, same how long to get the stamp?. Already aware of the requirements. Thank u.

To clarify.... You would be applying for Non O at local immigration office from eg visa exempt entry?

This is important especially for Jomtien immigration.

As for the 12 month extension that is issued on day of application.

Note at Jomtien you return next day for stamp.

For extension your require 800k seasoned for 2 months.

The 90 day stamp from the Non O enables that.

Do you have Thai bank account.

More details required.

If not yet in Thailand recommended to obtain Non O eVisa prior to entering Thailand

Edit: are you planning to do this by yourself or using agent

Yes applying from visa exempt entry, no problem with all requirements, just need to know how long to get the stamp.

Answer the questions.

Do you have Thai bank account?

Are you currently in Thailand

Are you doing the applications without agent?

First step is Non O from visa exempt using TM87.

Second step is obtaining the 12 month extension.

Jomtien had been requiring 2 months of seasoning when in reality for Mon O funds only need to be in account on day of application.

I appreciate your answer, but as i said no problem with requirements at all, just need to know from someone recently applied for visa non O retirement in Pattaya how long had to wait for the stamp. I think the question is pretty simple

It is possible that immigration would do home visit (yes even for retirement)

The Non O is applied for with minimum 15 days remaining on permission of stay stamp

You state that you are aware of all the requirements.

Assume that includes for Non O application in Thailand the 800k must be shown as transfer from abroad

Don't follow the reason for how long the issue of stamp takes.

The Non O on issue will provide 90 day stamp.

up to a month for the initial 90 day stamp, make sure you have the money in the bank at least two months before applying for the extension

Even with the help of an agent it can take 28 days.

Can't help with Jomtien/Pattaya.

But this was the under consideration period from Non O application to receive the visa stamp in Khon Kaen in 2022 (July 19 to August 12 a Friday).

I was adventurous enough to go earlier (Aug 5th) and ask.
Was ready and got stamped. Issue date of the visa Aug 2nd.
Don't expect that Jomtien is that fast!

To answer your question, when you apply at Jomtien Immigration Office, they will review your documents and if approved will give you a claim check and tell you to pick up your passport with stamp the next day (if not a holiday or following Monday if done on Friday).

To apply for the Non O you must have at least 15 days permission of stay remaining from your entry (23 days at certain IO's).

15 days minimum is the processing period before issuing the Non O stamp.
