Am in Chiang Mai and wish to have my retirement visa moved to my new passport. What will I require to do this, other than the old and new passports, any help would be appreciated. What would the cost be if using a visa service, approx. ?

Visa or extension?

If a valid visa you can't transfer it over to a new passport.

If an extension you merely complete the form requesting a transfer of the stamps to the new passport and submit both passports.

The form link posted above ^ has list of required passport photocopies.

Some countries still provide an embassy letter to give to immigration.

Many no longer do that.

Good idea to have your bank book.

By way of example CW have added new requirement of providing copies of pages back to current extension stamp date.

They gave me the NON O, they gave me the extension, and still have to provide all these papers!

That's just typical nonsense that various immigration offices provide hurdles to make things difficult.

CM is a usual suspect.

The form link posted by @scubascuba3 has required docs on form.

Your negative experience at CM comes as no surprise.

Especially given it's a free service.
