A Gelato shop in Pattaya

Featured Replies

I have this is Idea that a proper Italian quality ice-cream/Gelato shop in the right position and location will do well,

what say you esteemed members of this forum?

Go to Seoul and watch the locals and tourists queue up for soft serve cones from a cheap-ass trailer. Even in the winter.

That's the way I'd go.

I'm afraid the slow turnover on genuine Gelato would force you to serve it stale. As much as I enjoy it, I question the viability.

I enjoyed the eight baht probiotic soft serve at Makro.

Not directly related but I recently bought the Ninja Ice cream maker for my home. I am really fascinated how you can make healthy ice cream with ingredients of your choice.

You can for example use real fruit, yogurt, cream, milk, cocoa powder or vanilla to do all kind of different flavors with very little effort. My favorites at the moment are 1 whole banana mixed with greek yoghurt, milk and lots of cocoa which makes an amazing intense and delicious chocolate ice cream. Or a whole sweet mango with yoghurt and milk.

The machine is rather pricey in department stores but Lazada and Shopee offer nice promotions.

Sameros Gelato Central Festival

Haven't tried this place yet but it was well reviewed on a Breakfast Club video.

The problem with having an ice cream machine at home is that you gonna find yourself going to the fridge again and again, and one day those pants of yours don't fit you no longer.

Samero's Gelato recently opened a 2nd store in Pattaya.

They have 13 in total, must some coin in it.

Of course that one will study the viability of the project before investing large amount of money to start a business, making an ice cream or a gelato takes know how and preparation by taking courses over a period of time where you learn all the ins and outs of said businee.

Okay, spend your money if you think you are going to get rich selling ice cream. I'm happy to spend just 8 baht.

La Crèmerie Pattaya do Gelato, if I remember correctly.

I do not see the problem of weight gain as most of my recipes are based on fruit and yoghurt, no or at least less cream and sugar added. The great advantage of this machine is that it makes everything creamy without the calories.

The best ice cream for my favorite flavor is Le cafe de paris, ground floor T21. 75 baht a scoop, 130 for 2 scoops.
