According to ThomsonReuters news agency, the Australian flag was flying next to the US flag in central Washington DC. The mistake was quickly realized and replaced with the Union Jack flag. Charles and Camilla begin a 4-day US State Visit on Monday (27 April).

Nah. Very few in the United States would know what Anzac Day is about or when it is observed. It was either a mistake, or the flags were already present outside the Australian and New Zealand Embasies (at their request to DC city officials to mark the day). It's more likely a mistake - and not the first of its kind - with wrong flags flying for the visits of other Heads of State, and even sometimes wrong flags in the Oval Office. Trump didn't even know until recently that King Charles is Canada's HOS.

Not for long. We're letting Americans in.
