Thai travel YouTuber Hlune Solo has been found dead at a hotel in Tbilisi, Georgia, after being out of contact for more than 15 days. Georgian broadcaster Mtavari, citing the Georgian Interior Ministry, reported on 29 July that Hlune had died inside a hotel in the capital. No cause of death or further circumstances were given in the report. The news ends an extensive online search involving Thai friends, Thai residents in Georgia and officials, with information also passed to the Thai Consulate in Ankara. Friends and volunteers joined the search The administrator of the Facebook group GE Travel Georgia - Thais in Georgia, Tom GK, said he had gone personally to a local police station with an interpreter after seeing widespread appeals from Thailand to locate Hlune. He said the group had received all relevant factual information from police and had forwarded it to the Thai Consulate in Ankara. However, he said details would be left to Hlune's relatives to release, out of respect for the family's rights and mental wellbeing. Isara "Yam" Boonprasert, who had asked friends in Georgia to help, wrote at 3.15pm on 29 July that she had received information about Hlune from a friend in the country. She said she did not want to make any announcement without authority and had contacted Hlune's older brother, who had not yet read her message. Yam also said Hlune's last known location was not in a difficult-to-reach place, contrary to what she and others had expected. In a further post, Yam said she had informed the Thai Embassy in Ankara of information received from her Georgian friend, who had gone to a police station and helped search for information. She said she had also spent the previous night examining areas where Hlune might have gone. Family notified of the death Wanchai, who had also helped with the search and runs the volunteer travel page Asa Phai Long, later posted: "I have found Hlune's body. My condolences to Hlune's family.
