The International Criminal Court (ICC) has designated Trial Chamber III to oversee the 'crimes against humanity' case against former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. The case pertains to alleged killings during his term as Davao City mayor and later as president. Judges Joanna Korner, Keebong Paek, and Nicolas Guillou will conduct the trial and evidence hearings.

The ICC presidency has also ordered the transfer of all case records, including the pre-trial chamber's confirmation of charges against Duterte. The charges include three counts of murder and attempted murder related to anti-drug operations and alleged killings across the Philippines.

Preparatory conferences are the next step, intended to schedule the trial date and establish evidence presentation rules. This sets the stage for a detailed examination of the cases in the courtroom, aiming to bring clarity and resolution to the allegations.
