Does the sound vary with engine speed?

Vary with road speed?

Is it the same on straights or worse in corners?

Is it the same on smooth roads or bumpy roads.

Do u hear the sound during idle not the quick tiktik sound, but more of thok thok sound

Sounds like Rod knock.

Does it speed up when you give it some jandal ?

The squeaking sound is the alternatorbelt it needs replacing first of all. I don't here the AC cooling fan so it is not the AC belt.

If you can see the alternator belt and without losing any fingers hold a bit of soap on it to temporarily remove the squeak then we can concentrate on the knock.

You may find it is simply the alternator bearings.

Post another video and rev the engine a bit. We assume you have checked the oil etc..

Sounds like a lose bracket or pipe vibrating /knocking against something to me.

i dont think its rod knock cause i dont hear the knocking sound speeding up once i put on the pedal.

yes theres plenty of engine oil left.

i did not turn on the AC.

Im not sure where the sound is coming from, but seems not from the top area.

Ive taken it to check at 2 honda garages, but they both say they cant hear the sound???? and cant find the problem.

sometimes i do not hear this sound during idle

this car is 2007 honda city

i can smell the fuel from outside the car like in the gas station, so possibly is it purge valve?

Valve adjustment

Somewhere near you in BKK is a shade tree mechanic. Most neighborhoods have at least one. They will find the source for you assuming it makes the noise when you get there.

When you rev up the engine the noise disappears? So only at idle?

The engine doesn't look like it is shaking so that may eliminate the engine mounts.

It is worse just after you start the car? Or the same if you leave it running for five minutes? If Honda don't hear it that suggests it disappears by the time you get there?

how much does it cost to fix that at thai local garages and at dealers u know?

also will there be any big problems if i dont fix it?

If that is what it is?

i dont hear the knocking sound speeding up once i put on the pedal.

A very simple job. About two hours. Depending on the state of the gasket you may need a new one which makes the job a bit longer if they don't have one and have to source one.

Is it fixed yet?

not yet as I don't know where to focus on but I just drove to rayong from bkk 200km return but seems there's no problem occurred as acceleration and idle seems stable

I would hope Thai garages can sort me out

Thought the same.

Tappets need adjusting for clearance.

Have you checked the pulleys? Does any of them get excessively hot? With the vehicle running and spraying water on each pulley does the sound go away? Could be any number of things.

First video seems fine but I definitely hear an annoying noise in the second one.

Did you recently flush the crankcase?

What model is the engine?

What is the milage?
