They all buy each others cars and dissect them. I went to a Ford plant on one occasion and they had a couple of VW's in their development dept.

Maybe they were there due to the Ford Volkswagen Alliance for vehicle development.

We're well past cars being designed for aesthetics. It's all about wind resistance now so if course they all look the same.
