Bimmelbommel At The Windscreen

Dear Amy,

the wife purchased recently a thingy that is maybe best described as a bimmelbommel. It consists of some sort of a wind chime that can be attached with a suction cup to the windscreen.

What it does is making high-pitched ringing noises whenever the car experiences only slightest accelerations to whichever direction, i.e upon accelarating, braking, turning left or right and all the potholes in Soi Siam Country Club.

It drives me nuts!

Now, the wife insists of having this "cute" gizmo permanatly attached to the screen and threatens me with divorce if I ever remove it. Keeping it on the screen will cause me to freak out any time soon.

what shall I do?

Try a rubber band around the chimy bits, easily removed when the missus wants to drive, cheaper than the divorce

We have a fish made from 10 Baht notes and a piggy thing, both (thankfully) silent
