Preparations for this large-scale summit are in full swing, with the summit scheduled for May 7 to 8, 2026. Delegates from various countries will begin arriving in Lapu-Lapu City as early as May 5 and are expected to leave on May 12, maintaining a strict timeline. The comprehensive security measures are designed to manage the movement and safety of participants throughout the duration of the summit.

Gen. Nartatez also carried out an aerial inspection across Central Visayas to review operational readiness. This includes validating deployment plans and ensuring seamless coordination between security forces, which will be critical as they cover transport routes and event venues extensively. The inspection is a part of the strategic plan to curb any potential disruptions and support the smooth execution of the summit.

As the event date approaches, experts highlight the importance of effective communication and cooperation between various security and emergency teams. Their goal is to address any potential threats and respond promptly to ensure the safety of all attendees. The deployment emphasizes a proactive approach to security management, which is crucial for high-profile events.

Looking forward, officials will continue fine-tuning their strategies. Regular updates and assessments are planned to adapt to new information and any emerging challenges. The focus remains on maintaining order and security throughout the summit period.
