Cigna offer up to 20% off health insurance for life this May

Featured Replies

If sorting health insurance in Thailand has been on your to-do list, May 2026 gives you the perfect reason to act. Cigna Global is running an exclusive promotion until May 31; new customers can save up to 20% on international health plans, and that discount applies for the lifetime of the policy.

The offer is open to new customers only, and the deadline is firm.

How the discount works

New customers taking out a Silver, Gold, or Platinum plan and paying annually in full are eligible for a combined discount of up to 20%. This is made up of a standard 10% annual payment discount, plus an additional promotional discount of up to 10% for policies purchased before May 31.

To illustrate: a US$5,000 policy receives US$500 off for annual payment, then a further US$450 off the remaining balance, bringing the total to US$4,050.

Policies with a total premium of US$10,000 or more also receive a free Health and Wellbeing module for the lifetime of the policy. A minimum purchase value of US$4,500 applies for Thailand-based policies to qualify for the promotion.

The discount locks in for the lifetime of the policy, not just year one, as long as it remains active and unchanged. Get your free quote before the deadline.

What do the plans cover?

Cigna Global offers four plan tiers to suit different budgets and lifestyles:

  • Close Care provides up to US$500,000 in annual coverage, restricted to Thailand and your home country. It is the most affordable option and suits expats who are settled here and rarely travel internationally.

  • Silver covers up to US$1 million annually, including diagnostics and hospitalisation, a solid choice for most expats.

  • Gold steps up to US$2 million and adds routine maternity cover, higher specialist treatment limits, and additional health screenings.

  • Platinum offers unlimited annual coverage with most benefits paid in full, making it the right choice for anyone regularly using premium hospitals like Bumrungrad or Bangkok Hospital.

All plans include mental health support, telehealth access, and wellness check-ups. All plans can also be issued with the Foreign Insurance Certificate required for Thai O-A, O-X, and LTR visas.

*Note: the May promotion applies to Silver, Gold, and Platinum plans only. Close Care is not included.

Why direct billing matters for expats in Thailand

Thailand's top private hospitals are world-class, and they charge accordingly. Public healthcare is not accessible to foreigners on the same terms as Thai nationals, so most expats are going private by default, where a single hospitalisation can run into hundreds of thousands of baht.

Cigna's direct billing network covers inpatient stays and many outpatient visits at hundreds of Thai hospitals. You walk in, get treated, and leave. No upfront payment, no reimbursement chase.

Policyholders also benefit from full cancer care, chronic condition management, 24/7 mental health access, medical evacuation, and Crisis Assistance Plus. Dental, vision, and prescribed medication are available depending on plan level.

The May promotion runs until May 31, 2026. Get your free quote before the deadline.
