Free movie apps

Featured Replies

A number of the free movie apps have been closed recently, anyone know of any that are still working and you can download, not just stream?

MovieHD/Gstream appears to be dead

CinemaHD no further updates

Instead of constantly scrambling around playing whack-a-mole with those 'free' sites, why not subscribe to a dedicated service for as little as 100 baht per month?

Then no more need for the primitive mirroring your phone screen on your TV in low quality. Stream directly from your phone and TV in the highest quality your phone and TV can reproduce.

Or just download for free via qBittorrent and Python in high definition and watch later at your leisure and store forever!

Just go to 57movies.com and you'll have a whole range of free movie sites. Just one thing you'll need a VPN if you're outside of th USA. For a starter try tubi.com. If you need a free VPN try Hola or Urban.

Though still a bit primitive, as you need to keep your device on and to download the media to it.

The OP seems to have just a phone, so downloading and saving large files perhaps not an option. Will likely delete after watching.

With a dedicated service, can stream/download from any device, on Demand.

Have you actually tried it?

I download films and series in minutes!

Yes, perhaps ten years ago 😊

Not knocking it, as it depends on your wants and your setup. From memory, the OP has just an Android mobile and TV. Of course it's possible to utilise a torrent client via Android TV if you are prepared to tinker around a bit. Mirroring from mobile is just primitive.

I am NOT posting about the OP but about your Post!

I am telling you what I do today in Thailand!

Have you ever tried using qBittorrent and Python etc?

Not sure how you would like me to respond to your post 😊 Of course my reply was in response to the OP. Having some basic knowledge of his equipment, I suggested a more reliable and versatile solution.

Wherein they can access to everything you mention and more, with the equipment they hold now.

If you would like to have a separate conversation in discussing the merits of the system you utilise, then I'm happy to do so.

I don't utilise Torrent clients, as I don't want to keep my equipment on during any download, nor do I wish to upload anything during any download attempt.

In addition, the only reason that I would choose to download anything, is if I had an unreliable Internet connection.

For myself, the system you describe is somewhat behind the times and something I stopped doing possibly more than ten years ago.

That doesn't mean that it is obsolete, only that there are more efficient ways to do the same thing. My library is stored in the cloud, rather than Terabytes on a on-site HDD. That means that I can access it from anywhere with an Internet connection, on any device. Streaming or downloading.

I would say that I was one of the first around here to suggest using qBittorrent as an alternative to BitTorrent and uTorrent. It's twenty years old 😊

Things have moved on since then. These days, people will combine these applications with other clients, such a Stremio and Torrentio. But for me, even that is too messy.

It's been working fine for many years so no scrambling around most of the time. I watch in HD or more, using my phone as a network so no need for casting now, and the casting was excellent quality anyway

Don't see the point of storing forever, i usually download and delete once watched, rarely i watch movies twice. Only thing I've downloaded and kept was Seinfeld

I'm found one movie app, Filmplus, a friend has just started using moviebox.

I'm looking for apps not websites or alternative tech

With the quality of the movies and series the last few years it wouldn't be worth 100 baht. I subscribe to a service so i can watch specific golf events
