Indian Tourist Dies After Group Collapses at Phuket Cafe

An Indian tourist has died and three others were hospitalised after four men suddenly collapsed at a cafe near Kamala Beach in Phuket in the early hours of May 9. Police said the group of Indian tourists had arrived at the venue at around 11pm the night before, before four members began losing consciousness one after another at about 1.54am. Emergency responders transported three men to Patong Hospital and one to Thalang Hospital, while a fifth member of the group reportedly showed no symptoms. Two critically ill patients were later transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital, where Kushagra Agarwal was confirmed dead at around 2.30pm. The surviving patients were later reported to be in stable condition, while police, forensic specialists, and the Indian Embassy continue working to determine the cause of the incident.
