I do not understand why, lets say, the teams 3,4,5 & 6, must play against each other even though Nos 3 & 6 could be many points apart.

What's the point in playing the full season, collecting points, and then not getting promoted because Team 6 beat you, even though they finished 10 point below you.

Bit like changing Third Division to League One, and fourth now called League Two.

Bring back the old system, Divisions 1,2,3 &4.

You're right it doesn't seem fair, but it keeps the league more interesting as many teams still have something to play for towards the end of the season.
