Ratchaburi Man Injured in Bear Attack While Searching for Food

A 48 year old Thai man named Surachai required 40 stitches after being attacked by a bear in a forest near his home in Ratchaburi. He said he had entered the forest to collect ingredients for dinner when he suddenly encountered the animal about five metres away. Surachai tried to run, but the bear reportedly caught him quickly, clawed his upper arms, and bit him near his left eye. He screamed loudly, which appeared to scare the animal away, before noticing two more bears nearby that he believed may have been cubs. After firing warning shots into the air, he managed to leave the forest and was later taken to hospital, where doctors kept him under observation due to infection concerns.

If you go down in the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise

If you go down in the woods today, you'd better go in disguise

For every bear that ever there was

Will gather there for certain because

Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic
