Robot[ic] Assisted Simple Prostatectomy (RASP)

Featured Replies

Just to be clear I don't make a confusion with RARP.

Has anyone had this procedure in Bangkok?

From what I could see, for very large prostates it is an interesting alternative to HOLEP, with somewhat less urinary side effects but longer hospital stay and recovery and obviously higher costs.

Siriraj might be one of the cheapest (500.000 max), but all the other famous hospital as Bangkok, Bumrungrad, Veijthani can do it, higher price.

Siriraj is off limit AFAIC, I reject their 20% surcharge for foreigner and their requirement that I provide my own nursing staff. But I'd like hear from someone who actually underwent RASP.

That is truly with worst acronym for prostate treat I have ever heard! RASP does not inspire a lot of confidence!.
