My driving licence will expire this year end. I tried to book an appointment with the DLT Smart Queue App in Phuket same i did the last time.

But now the app show absolutely no free available date this year 2026 and even no date available for 2027.

Someone else had this expierence and know maybe whats going on there?

Last time i did not know about the DLT app and i just walked to Phuket town to extend my driving licence and they told me the earliest possible date is in 3-5 months, so i downloaded the App (someone gave me this advice at the officer) and booked an appointment the next day.

If i try to book an appointment in Phang na for example its possible to book the appointment with the app but for Phuket no available slot.

The app doesn't appear to be functional. It may work with a Thai ID number, though I'm not certain.

I therefore went in person a few weeks ago. I thought I would be early, but by 7:30 there were already around 50–60 people waiting. There are only about 30-40 chairs, so the rest have to queue standing, which I did for almost 2 hours. They process all Thai nationals first, then begin issuing queue numbers to the remaining people in order of arrival. Everything moved fairly smoothly. They then announced that numbers 1 to 30 could form a queue, while numbers 31 to 60 were asked to return at 14:00 (I had queue number 39). I'm not sure what happens to people who didn't receive a queue number. Whether some arrangement is made for them or whether they simply have to come back another day and try again. I think the latter.

In the afternoon, they checked my paperwork and I had to write my name in the appointment book. The first available date was six weeks out, so the staff member kindly reminded me that I would need a new medical certificate, as mine would be more than 30 days old by then.

My advice: arrive early, bring water, and don't get your medical certificate yet. Your paperwork will not be turned away. They simply review it and let you know if anything is missing, so you can make sure to bring everything on your appointment day.

There you can still book an appointment in the app

as far a med , for phuket, drive out, take a left turn on the road, at the light take a right, at the next light look across the street, just to the left u will see a clinic - 100 baht for the certifciate

hassle is the cor which also is only good for 30 days

when i have looked for Phuket it seems u cant see months after the next 2 so cant book far in advance

just tried for phuket, Phang Nga ( chrome)

I log in and get to calendar
it is STUCK on may. cant forward to june
even when ik forward and find an empty date it wont take it

when i use edge i can change months but it wont accept any dates
1st open date for phuket is Nov 24!!!

OK another UPDATE

I downloaded the dlt app for my phone

it WORKS
But still the first date available is nov 23 2026!

seems no dates after that so assume its to early to book

my license expires March 2027 so will book in the next few months :-)

Why would you go there in the morning and spend hours just to get appointment?

Go there about an hour after lunch break and there will be no queue.

Last year when I renewed my TDL there was online waiting list about 5 or 6 months long, but when I went there in person they also made an appointment for me in about 5-6 weeks and gave a little list with what documents will be required.

Same for me. All dates greyed out. I had to go to the DLT and got a "walk in" date.

Sorry, not in Phuket. But i had to wait 2 weeks, bankok suburb.

Just made an appt at phuket
ONLY 1 date was available Nov 27th 9 am!!!
Nothing after at all

weird they only give one day open out of 365

for phang nga first date was Oct 15th

Booking on the site is temporarily suspended.

According to the wife it should be fully functional by July.

No, it gave dates months in advance because it isn't as yet fully functional.
The wife was at the DLT on Friday last and they told her it should be fully functional by July.

look all i can say is i was able to book nov 27th for Phuket
it always gives months later so u can book them and it just so happens for phuket there full

The one for phang nga seems to work as there are plenty of dates after oct 15th thru nov 27th
I think it ONLY shows a max of 6 months out

my take
i think the screw up is agents book multiple dates and hold them so they can than accommodate clients willing to pay 4-6,000 baht for their "help"

of course, i could be wrong :-)
