For both cases Trump has appeal(s) still pending but a bond against the judgment is required for NY State appeals at any level.

Think about that for a minute, even forgetting that it's Trump.

If someone sues you for $100 million and wins, even if the case is a farce, you can't appeal it unless you can post a $100 million bond. How is that fair to the 99.9% of Americans who don't have that kind of money?

Despite all of this E J Carrol nonsense she hasn't received a cent from her civil judgement.

Despite all your nonsense implied this is where the DOJ Actually Stands right now:

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Chicago issued a formal statement to clear up what they are actually doing. They explicitly stated they have not and never opened a criminal investigation into E. Jean Carroll herself. Instead, the actual criminal probe is focused strictly on the non-profit organization that handled the money. So while the political battle uses the case as a weapon, the legal reality has shifted away from Carroll entirely and onto the financial mechanics of the organization that backed her.

So, $2 million for the alleged rape, and over $80 million for saying bad things... Where are your priorities? Probably the same place as the judge's (and Leticia's, and Fani's), trying to defund his campaign.

I can't believe the feminists aren't up in arms about that. But most of them are lefties and it is Trump...

BTW, I don't think he's actually paid. That was in the news just last week...

They were both defamation cases. Get your facts straight. 2 million for defamation, 80 million for doing it again.

US Supreme Court has denied to review the Carroll I defamation (only) case that Trump was immune as President at the time.

He did not defame her as a presidential job duty. Not immune.

This document was entered into the official Carroll II (Assault) trial docket:

Advice columnist E. Jean Carrol. TRANSCRIPT: 6/21/19, The Last Word w/ Lawrence O’Donnell

O`DONNELL: Yes. Would you consider bringing a rape charge against Donald Trump for this? ( * There is no statute limitations Rape first degree NY State)

CARROLL: No.

O`DONNELL: Why not?

CARROLL: I would find it disrespectful to the women who were down on the border who have been raped around the clock down there without any protection. They`re young women, you know, try to come into the country. As you know, they are there by the thousands.

The women have very little protection there. It would just be disrespectful if I, you know, and mine was three minutes. I'm a mature woman. I can handle it. I can keep going. You know, my life is going on. I'm a happy woman.

But for the women down there and for the women — actually around the world, you know, in every culture this is going on. No matter high in society or low in society. It just feels disrespectful that I would bring – – it just doesn`t make sense to me

We all know it was a script from E Jeans fave tv show Law & Order special victims unit. Nobody actually thinks this occurred in real life. I will get downthumbed by the cultists here but I want Repubs to start banging up wokies using movie/ tv show scripts. Id start with Adam Schiff and charge him with something like robbing a bank and hijacking a plane then leaping out with a parachute. Everyone will say, Hey thats DB Cooper. And we'll say 🤣😂😅🤣😂😅

Then lets bang up Obama for murdering his wife and young son with an axe after losing his mind working in a remote ski lodge off season. This was an awful crime as after axing down the door where wife/son were hiding he growled "here's Barry".

Love it!! I think you guys know the lawfaring banana republic left ballsed up BIG TIME using well known television scripts seeing as Trump was so clean he squeaked in the shower.

Jeezus, I hope you mean this as sarcasm! Many women don't report sexual assaults or rapes out of shame. The few who do are slut-shamed in court. And then there are those who fight back.

Just because Trump is a person in power doesn't give him immunity. He's on record as saying, "grab 'em by the pussy". So you think this is a spurious case just for Trump's money?!? Hee-haw!

One thing I think we can agree on. There are women who falsely allege rape or assault in order to make the guy suffer. That's not Carroll.

Easy, they declare bankruptcy and can't appeal a civil judgment. Trump, on the other, has a golden Presidency and sticky fingers. But do you think he'd ever put up his own money?!?

Are you saying that he wasn't found liable for SA at all? That would be quite a shocker to everyone who's been inaccurately calling him a "convicted rapist" for years.

Suggestion ,Write a letter to the lefty publishers, crying misinformation.

"The Department of Justice (DOJ) has reportedly launched a criminal investigation into E. Jean Carroll, who accused President Trump of sexual assault, according to multiple reports.

CNN was the first to report Wednesday night that the DOJ’s probe focuses on whether Carroll committed perjury while speaking at a deposition as part of her two civil lawsuits against Trump"

One of the sources added that while the perjury allegations against Carroll were part of the original referral that the U.S. Attorney's Office in Chicago received earlier this year, prosecutors there are not pursuing that line of inquiry at this time.

Parts of the international left are now supporting and spreading the idea , popular with some on the domestic left , the Jewish state, should be destroyed.

This brings back the same core antisemitic madness of the Nazis, the desire to eliminate the Jews as a people with their own country.

The Communists, Marxists, and anarchists have twisted it in an especially ugly way, they call it "antiimperialism" or justice, but it still means denying Jews the right to their own state while everyone else gets one.

In all my reading, I have never read Nazis ever thought about Jews with a country. Dismantling Israel--which will never happen with support from third countries--would do nothing to "eliminate" Jews. They'd simply form part of the existing diaspora. Perhaps the US would even accept them as refugees. The hard part, of course, is that all this generation has been born in Israel.

Yes, Jews have their own theocracy which they inflict upon their neighbours. But what other religious group has their own country? Only Muslims. Lots of repressed religions out there. Why are Jews so special?

BTW, I'd check under the bed tonight. There might be some lefty, commie, marxist, anarchists waiting to smother you in your sleep.

The law (Carol) Martin had been referring to, called the Adult Survivors Act, would be passed in November 2022. It opened a one-year look-back window for survivors to file time-barred claims. Minutes after the law took effect on Thanksgiving of last year, Carroll filed the suit for which Trump is now on trial.

DOJ case against E. Jean Carroll could silence survivors, experts warn

Trump's DOJ sends a terrifying message and chilling effect to victims of high-profile sexual abuse: speak up and you won't be protected—you will be punished.

Power vs Defiance

Out of nearly 30 accusers, including 3 minors, E. Jean Carroll is the only one to win court accountability.

Trump spent millions on NDAs and settlements while victims even received death threats.

Through it all, Carroll remained the shining citadel on a hill in lone defiance, seeking to make him accountable.

Trump’s DOJ is now deployed the full weight of the state to shield him, fixing the rules for the powerful.

The Epstein Leak Double Standard

The system protects perpetrators and exposes victims:

Scrubbing Trump: The DOJ instantly deleted photos of Trump inside Epstein’s mansion and buried critical FBI files until a Democrat called it out.

Exposing Victims: Meanwhile, the government left the unredacted personal data of 100 survivors online for weeks.

The Fallout: Home addresses, bank records, and private diaries of child victims were freely available.

The Bottom Line

This is systemic silencing. When the state rewards power and leaks victim identities, it guarantees a devastating chilling effect.

Todd Blanche has already shut down the release of the Epstein files. Trump’s loyal DOJ Inspector General is in place to praise the acting AG’s handling of the release and compliance with the Act. While Lutnick and Bondi’s testimonies were stifled, prosecuting Carroll is the final Trump card to bury his nemesis— accountability.

In a May 2023 interview with the Washington Post, Hoffman explained why he chose to help fund Carroll's legal action, saying that "we didn't encourage the lawsuit to happen — we only got on board after she'd already filed."

"My team looked at it, thought that her voice should be heard because she was challenging someone who was so much more wealthy and powerful, it shouldn't be squashed," Hoffman said.

Just now, cjinchiangrai said:

The Carroll I defamation suit was filed while Trump was still President.

The Carroll II assault plus defamation case was filed after Trump was no longer President and was filed after the NY State adult survivors act was passed.

Then after the Carroll II case was finished at district court level, the Carroll I was revived solely to establish damages as Judge Kaplan said the defamation was already proven.

And the assassination attempts were staged, yes?
